According to the company Lollipop addresses the problem on a world with screen of many different sizes from the smallest found on smartwatches to the largest screen, the TV, and the updated operating system will connect them all. With Android 5.0 will be a lot easier for users to pick up where they left off in different devices, and “things just work”. Android 5.0 Lollipop not only brings a flatter look, but it also features bolder colors and improve typography. The new user interface also is more responsive and intuitive with natural motions and more realistic interactions.
Those users that can’t get enough of their devices because of their battery dying quickly, Google says that users running Lollipop can expect up to 90 minutes of additional battery life using the battery saver feature. Also users can see how much charge is left and how long it will take to full charge. Another interesting feature is multiple profiles support on phones. Similar to Windows Phone Kid’s Corner, users can setup the smartphone for kids to play games and just play around safely. The updates Android operating system also supports a kill switch that makes any Android device pretty much useless, if there is not a valid password to reset it. For security reasons Google is turning encryption on by default after updating to the new OS. Notifications also received a refresh so that users can specify which alters will go through during special event in the lock screen.
The first devices to run Lollipop include Nexus 6 smartphone, Nexus 9 tablet, and the Nexus Player. On November 3rd Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets will be getting the new operating system, while Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 will be getting it in late November. And of course all new Google devices will ship with Lollipop. The Motorola Moto X, Moto G, Moto E, Droid Maxx, Droid Ultra, and the Droid Mini are also scheduled to get Android 5.0.
