This is an interesting new design that continues to shows how companies keep evolving PCs thanks to the Windows 8 flexibility and touch centric operating system. What’s somewhat unique about the HP Envy 23 Recline is the hinge that let you position the PC easily with one hand virtually in any angle, up or down, with steady tension, which makes it feel a premium machine. Of course the idea isn’t new, we seen the Lenovo IdeaCenter Horizon and the Dell XPS One 27 (still my favorite all-in-one) just to name a few. There is also a 27-inch version of new Envy Recline line, but according to The Verge, who had a chance to actually interact with the computer, the hinge isn’t as balanced as the 23-inch model.

Let’s get to tech specs, the HP Envy 23 Recline is powered by the latest line of Intel’s processors (Haswell), Nvidia GeForce GT 730A graphics, up to 16GB of RAM, and a 1920 x 1080 10-finger multi-touch display. To be completely honest I’m not too thrilled about the resolution, although is high-res, we’re already seeing so many devices with higher amount of pixel that really helps images, text, and video look crisper and sharper, and packing this power and design and just cut corner on resolution, I think is a step backward. Both Windows 8 PCs are bundled with 5 USB ports, Beats Audio, HDMI input to connect a set-top box or console such as an Xbox One, and the standard mouse and keyboard combo. Now, I mentioned above that there are two models and each one has a different hardware configuration: The Envy 23 Recline makes use of the 2.9GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB of RAM, 802.11n wireless adapter, while the HP Envy 27 Recline comes with a standard 12GB of RAM, NFC, a mix of SSD with standard hard drive to increase storage while keeping up with speed, and 802.11ac wireless adapter. Price starts at $1,349 for the Envy 23 Recline, with a lower end that cost $999. The Envy 27 Recline will start at $1,399. Both models are available on September 6th, there is a red and black version of the Recline, but it will come if not until November, price starts at $1,249.
