Unlike its predecessor that packed all the computer guts inside the screen, the new HP Envy Curved 34 moves all the components to a base. And there is also a HP Privacy Camera with IR support for Windows Hello that pops out from the display with the push of a button. The design of the new desktop is sleeker and similar to the HP Envy 27se, but the 3440 x 1440 IPS curved display that makes images pop is perhaps the start of the show. The base is very interesting too, which not only looks elegant and minimalist, but it features a sound bar system made by Bang & Olufsen featuring Quad HP speakers and two passive radiators. In addition, the base also functions as a wireless phone charger, and a radial button on the top let you easily turn the volume up and down, pause and skip songs.
As for the internal tech specs, you can get it with the latest 7th-generation Kaby Lake processor up to Core i7, up to 16GB of memory, 256GB SSD for storage or 2TB hard drive option, and AMD Radeon RX 460 with 4GB of memory. HP also says that customers will also have the choice to get the new Envy all-in-one with Nvidia GTX 950MX graphics. You also have a variety of ports, including four USB 3.0 ports, and one USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 3 support, and HDMI in and out. The 2017 HP Envy Curved 34 is available starting January 11th, and pricing will start at $1730.
